Pete McGloin

Coach

 

Peter McGloin, “Coach Pete”, has been with RPM Sand since 2018. He is also currently the Beach Volleyball Head Coach at Fountain Hills High School, where their teams have compiled a 60-5 record over the past 5 seasons. They won state championships in 2017 and 2018, and were runners-up in 2019. Coach Pete was also the previous indoor coach at Fountain Hills for back-to-back state championship seasons in 2016 and 2017, and had a record of 143-43 over 5 seasons. He has been a varsity head coach since 2011. 


Coach Pete has received several all-state and all-region coach of the year awards, including the AZCentral.com Small Schools Coach of the Year in 2017, and Beach Volleyball Co-Coach of the Year in 2018. He is GMS Beach, USAV CAP I and BCAP II certified.


Coach Pete grew up playing volleyball in Madison, WI, and won a state championship in 1995. He attended the University of Arizona for undergraduate studies in Psychology and Anthropology, and Northern Arizona University for a Master’s Degree in School Psychology. Coach Pete has a daughter named Casey, and pet fish. In addition to volleyball, he loves the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, golf, history, and good fruit. Coach Pete’s energy is unmatched and he brings out the best in his athletes as a result.
