Kelly Itano
Coach/Webmaster
Kelly has been playing volleyball in various leagues and organizations for over 30 years and has won multiple tournaments over the years.
Previously, Kelly had been a coach at Fountain Hills High School for both beach and indoor volleyball. In his first three seasons working with the Fountain Hills varsity programs, they won back-to-back beach state championships and one indoor state championship. Kelly currently coaches indoor volleyball and beach volleyball at Arcadia High School at the Varsity, JV A & B levels. Kelly and Coach Adrian coached Lane Sheedy and Alexa Helms to Arcadia High School’s first volleyball State Championship when they won the 2024 AIA Division II Beach Volleyball Pairs competition.
He started to coach at RPM Sand in 2021 and was part of the coaching staff when RPM took 3rd in the first national beach club vs club tournament. In 2022, Kelly helped coach the RPM club squad to a 2nd place finish at the National BVCA club vs club championship. In 2023, Kelly was a coach for the RPM club squad who won the AAU National club vs club championship. In 2024, Kelly was part of the RPM coaching staff who coached 35 out of 42 athletes to win medals in the Gold Bracket of a National Championship. This included a BVCA National Championship for the Open Tier II division.
Kelly is USA Volleyball BCAP I certified. He also is Gold Medal Squared (GMS) certified in both Beach and Indoor volleyball. He also has his Safe Sport certification.
Kelly lives in Scottsdale and has a daughter, Katelyn, who graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2022 and now resides in Los Angeles, CA.
